A quick story for you today, since most people are probably out shopping or decorating. During the holidays, the theater district is one of the most attractive areas of the city. The theaters decorate and they almost glow when it’s snowing. It’s always a pretty area, but it’s even prettier around Christmas time.
Shea’s is a Buffalo landmark, and it’s easy to see why Michael Shea was so proud of it. Finished in the mid-1920s, it is said that Shea was so attached to the building that he never left it after he died close to a decade later. Reports claim that he has spoken directly to volunteers about how grand the space is, and then disappeared. Other reports claim more common ghost experiences such as cold spots and phantom footsteps, along with Shea’s favorite artifacts often making people feel ‘off’.
