I get to talk about something that’s both relatively positive and true this week. This never happens.
I don’t know if you’ve ever heard the story of the eternal light bulb. Supposedly there’s a light bulb in California that’s been burning since before 1910 that’s never been replaced. It just keeps chugging along.
And guess what? The rumor’s true for once. The light bulb was installed in a fire station in Livermore, California since 1901 and has been burning non-stop with the exception of a few power outages sever since. No one’s sure why the light bulb has been able to withstand the test of time to this length, but the fire crew has turned it into something of a luck charm. No one knows what will happen to the people on crew when it finally goes out-but they fear it won’t be good.
